International Girls in ICT Day 2024

IRIAD – The Electoral Hub celebrates International Girls in ICT Day 2024, a global initiative aimed at promoting gender equity and women’s empowerment in the digital world. This year’s theme is ‘Leadership,’ reflecting the need for strong leadership to foster a diverse and inclusive future in ICT.

The theme also highlights the critical need for strong female role models in ICT careers. Women are underrepresented in ICT-related fields, particularly in software development, engineering, technology research, academia, and policy-making positions. By encouraging empowerment and leadership development, we can create a better future in ICT for girls and young women.
