International Day of Multilateralism and Diplomacy for Peace

Today, IRIAD – The Electoral Hub commemorates the International Day of Multilateralism and Diplomacy for Peace. This day is a reminder of the destructive impact of war and violent conflicts, as well as the imperative for countries to promote peaceful coexistence through multilateral cooperation, diplomacy, and every other means possible.

The emergent trend of violence and war, as exemplified by the Russia-Ukraine and Israel-Hamas confrontations, presents a serious cause for concern requiring urgent action by countries and multilateral organisations.

We, therefore, call on governments worldwide as well as multilateral organisations and other stakeholders to work together to build a world where peace, justice, and equity are not just ideals but a reality for all.
